To Reline or Dig? That Is The Question
In ancient times, most sewer systems were designed to last 50 years. Today, many of our sewer systems are 100+ years old. Roots grow through, cracks from eroding soil develop and other issues present themselves which lead to the deterioration of sewer pipes. This leaves two options. You can reline the existing sewer pipe or dig it all up and replace the pipe.
The expense of a pipe reline job is pretty well set no matter how deep or how shallow the pipe is below the ground. If you prefer to dig, that cost to repipe is impacted by structures in the area or on top of the pipe. Add in the hourly wages of those doing the digging as well as the inconvenience of traffic delays when roads are involved or when streets are completely blocked during the process and the costs just keep on adding up.
The Plumbing & Rooter Company has the technology to find a leak, explore potentially broken pipes with a camera system and using trenchless technology, reline sewer pipes with minimal intrusion. In Columbus call 706.569.6737 or in Auburn/Opelika call 334-787-0035.
